Beers, Ciders and Flavored Alternatives
Located in Detroits historic Rivertown district, and housed in a 1919 factory warehouse, Atwater Brewery was founded in March of 1997 with the purpose of carrying on the rich history of breweries in Detroit. Our brewing process, however, is over 200 years old.
Bell's Brewery, Inc. began in 1985 with a quest for better beer and a 15 gallon soup kettle. Since then, we've grown into a regional craft brewery that employs more than 100 people over an 18 state area, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington DC. The dedication to brewing flavorful, unfiltered, quality craft beers that started in 1985 is still with us today. We currently brew over 20 beers for distribution as well as many other small batch beers that are served at our pub in Kalamazoo, the Eccentrc Cafe, (see below). Our ongoing goal is to brew thoughtfully, creatively and artistically. We strive to bring an authentic and pleasant experience to all of our customers through our unique ales and beers.
During the 2006 and 2007 seasons, the Black Dragon Inn had accomplished renoun in the Western Realms. The expert chefery of its Innkeeper, Pete Wylde, and his randy meads during the now famous Black Dragon Inn Saturday Night tasting parties, have served up a treasure trove of goodwill and fellowship among all who know him and his Inn. During the last year of the BDI, Pete started winning awards at various home and amateur competitions. The Meadery opened in Spring 2015 and started bringing their delicious meads to the public.
Slip into the pub and look around. Go out and buy a six-pack, and read the holder the beer comes in. Read the back of your growler. When youre done, youll either get it or you wont. No matter, as youre drinking some of the best beer made in the great state of Michigan. Period!
Good ideas often start over beer. Always looking to take a good thing too far, we sat down and over a beer (or two) decided that beer itself was a good idea. Of course, not just some easy-drinking institutional prole beer, but stuff like the beers we'd had at great bars. We had frequented places with extensive and varied beer lists. Places with lists 180 items long, all of which we tried twice (not in one night). In short, we wanted beer with flavor. Complexity. Character. Intensity. Now, several years later and with a 90% super-cool/10% Rube Goldberg 7 bbl version of our banjo burner and kitchen pots, we're befuddling the beer judges and converting the masses. One pint at a time.
From our earliest days of striving to make consistently good beer, and instead making beer that ranged from vile, to barely drinkable, to wonderful, to elegant, to questionable-at-best. From being castigated by our West Marin neighbors to finally suffering an 'eviction' by our West Marin septic system. From landing in the welcoming arms of Petaluma, and actually getting our beer into bottles, onto the streets, and into the hands of sympathetic beer geeks, to steadily losing less money each month. From all this and more, Lagunitas Brewing Company is emerging as a battle-tested brewery capable of making great beer out of goat's milk, brambles, and asphalt on the surface of the Moon, if need be.

Revolution is Illinois' largest independently-owned brewery. Our brewery has been a labor of love. You can see it in everything we do, from the beautiful details of our mahogany bar at the brewpub, to the massive beauty of our eight 800 barrel fermenters at the brewery, to the commitment to quality in each beer that we put in a can or a keg. Revolution believes in the value of hard work. We work hard to provide great, accessible brews for everyday people. We have fun doing what we do and hope you have fun drinking our beers!
